My apologies for helping bump this archaic thread.
No apology necessary. It was a ridiculous post that deserved to be challenged, in my opinion.

I know many interracial cultures of all types of combinations. Several that are regular travelers (Delta employees from Fayette County) have told me they get more "looks" up north than they EVER do in Metro Atlanta or the rest of the South. One couple (this one a White guy married to a Black young lady) experienced much leering and a few rude comments in Chicago of all places! For the most part, and I am aware there are some exceptions to this, a mixed race couple is a non-issue around here.

As an African-American women, I can attest to the fact that you don't have to "look hard enough". Most African Americans only need go to Kennesaw, Sandy springs, hell anywhere and experience the negative aspect of life that is supposed white superiority and racism. Racist is not just an ignorant Klan member or skin head. Oftentimes it is the suburbanites who believe they are "open minded" but want to ignore societal oppression and secretly support It. Caucasian people are also always quick to give an example of something that they have done or has happened to them in order to counteract what is a daily occurance of injustices for African Americans.I hate these forums because they are usually full of stupidity.
On Atlanta: I have to agree with the original poster. It can be hoodish, but across the board, I see a "little Hollywood" materialism in Atlanta with everyone trying to out do the other. I don't like Atlanta either. But eh, if you don't like your surroundings, get out of them, and I'm working on it .
On one hand it's okay for someone to state his experiences, but not on the other? It seems like everyone should be free to talk about their experiences if they wish.

I hate the way some people act as if there is only one black experience or mindset. We aren't all from the same mold...we have lots of different backgrounds and experiences.

Atlanta can be very hoodish IN THE HOOD. Most of Atlanta is not the hood and can be a very nice place to live. You are right about the stupidity in these threads, and I'm afraid you just added to it.

And for this fact don't waste your time in ATlanta you'd probably have a better experience just overall in dating in like DC, Chicago or out in Cali. Atlanta is ghetto anyways. I like a diverse crowd and city and more than everybody trying to get crunk and hood ish. Or those lame ass sororities and frats from the black colleges. As you see I don't like Atlanta but I feel is a necessary place to let the world know or atleast other parts of the U.S. know that black people can do well and make money. But as far as having the black experience or something, ha ha. I don't need it been black all my life time for a change and live as a human being instead of just a african american or feel I need to connect with something. I've been there seen that, don't like that. So all pro black people live in Atlanta i'm gonna go for more of a diverse community preferrably in another country. Where there are lots of different cultues of women to date and they love me for my beautiful blackness. Or just like me for being me and my personality.
People like what they like, if you dont like it go else where.
