This map offers an interactive look at migration throughout the country.

American Migration [Interactive Map] - Forbes

Click a county in metro Atlanta to see its migration. Choose a year from 2005 to 2010.

Obviously, migration will be much better in terms of quantity and wealth the last four years than it was in 2010.

One subtle thing I noticed is the huge sucking sound of us pulling people from California's urban areas. The only exceptions being that Fulton is not doing a great job at it, and we are losing people to the city of San Francisco.

There's other areas we seem to be pillaging as well, such as the ritzy Oakland County, MI and ritzy New England counties - probably young people that can't afford to live there or can't get high enough paying jobs where they are for the high cost of living.

We are also eating Chicago alive.

However, Texas is sucking up a lot of people from our counties. I would hope anti-tax people that don't want to pay for our rail expansion. Unfortunately, I don't think that's the case, since one of our neighbors just moved to Houston for job reasons.
