Default Moving to Atlanta

Please help...
Work taking us to Atlanta area...
Need advice on reasonable living area's. Ideally, would like acre w/mobile home.. or repo home w/3 bdrms.... anyone know what area is least expensive for us to start out in until we get to know the area?
Coming from S.C., cost of living is low.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!

As you will see many, many, many times in the Atlanta forum -- where is your job? You have to plan around the job.

Mobile homes are kind of a no no here. Most of the metro has zoning against new ones.

Mobile homes really are a no no here in the Atlanta area .Almost all are in trailer parks and if they are on land by themselves they have been grandfathered in and have been on that land for 25 years or more.
They also are not cheap and do not hold appreciation like homes do. Often if you do the math with lot rental being in some places $ 400.00 on up monthly with a payment on the trailer nearly equaling or exceeding that plus taxes, utilities, etc. , you are often better off trying to find maybe an older home to rent somewhere or an apartment or town house.
