I've been a homeowner in Stone Mountain for 9 years. I'm just curious who currently lives here.

Lived there from 87-2009 and depressing to watch it go from a very nice area to what it is now. Still some nice parts, but renters and section 8 destroyed the quality of living there big time.

Pretty Much, my mother lives off Rockbrige, and when we first moved there in 95 it was a very up and coming working class area, we were the only blacks on our street, the the over all area was diverisying rapidly. I would say around the early-mid 2000s a ton of renters started coming in the area and most people began to move eastward to Gwinnett. Its sad how the home values have gone down the drain in that part of Dekalb.
