Yes, that sounds like an excellent idea... if a US citizen falls ill while abroad, we should prevent them from returning home for treatment

For the safety of the country....sure. I'd do the same if it was the Bird Flu.

So you'd rather leave one of your own countrymen in an undeveloped country with healthcare that would have to improve significantly to be substantially subpar, than the slight chance that something might happen and only possibly infect other citizens?

Yes, better to send the medical support than risk bringing the infection to our shores.

Aren't you the one that's always pointing out how much transit costs, and thus why we should not support it? Why do you want to spend $$$ to ship what would have to amount to a building and dozens if not hundreds of personnel, thousands of miles away, when we can bring them here TO The building and people?

What an incredibly sad and small minded attitude to have about the world. Any rational person should be able to recognize the importance of treating this patient -- it may be the thing that saves thousand more lives If the virus makes it to North America via a host who doesn't know they're infected.

BTW -- Ebola is only infectious after the person starts exhibiting symptoms, so someone in the early stages, when it's undetectable, can't infect anyone.

What does transit have to do with this? Very, very weak comparison. Don't become that one trick transit pony like some other idiots on here.

I'm not sure I understand your logic here.

Sooner or later it will come to our shores. We can't keep it out forever. Why not bring it here in a controlled way where we can keep it isolated, study it, and have some hope of conquering it before it gets out in the wild within our borders?
