Teaching in Clayton or Cobb County?
My husband and I will be relocating to the Atlanta area this summer. We have 3 children. I am a school teacher and need to work in a county with a high population of second language learners, since I teach ESOL/ESL. Which county would you recommend? In addition, I would like to live in the county that I teach in order to avoid long commutes. Let me know all the info on teaching in these counties.

Well the highest amount of ESL students are probably found in Gwinnett County around Norcross. Cobb has a share of them in Smyrna and Clayton is largely an American ghetto country and is in danger of losing accreditdation for its schools. Nobody wants to live in Clayton- ever real esate agent will tell you to avoid Clayton County like a disease!

I am not aware of Clayton being a country. Your grammar needs refining.

Really ESL jobs are fairly plentiful in Metro Atlanta... I wouldn't work in Clayton, there is a real possibility that accreditation might be lost. It is a mess there.
Job fairs begin in most metro counties as early as February, so pay close attention and start sending out resumes.

Try Fulton county. ESL jobs are supposed to be pretty good.

Based on the two choices you've listed...I'd choose Cobb over Clayton, hands down. As it's been stated above, Clayton County is having accreditation issues at the present time. Cobb is a better district on so many levels.
You could also consider Gwinnett, Marietta City, Fulton, and DeKalb.

A lot of schools contract out for language studies to private companies. I'd do some in-depth research and calling around. My significant other did ESL and also spanish tutoring before our baby was born.
