i was just wondering just in general has the state of georgia and around atlanta has that part been getting any good rain storms throughout the of december. because of late i never hear anything about the drought anymore.

It's been raining a little, but not enough to solve the drought issues. You're probably not hearing much about it anymore because the news channels lost their sensationalism angle when the state revised the water quantities in Lake Lanier from 90 days to over 250 days plus another year in the lower pool. The news people can't freak anyone out anymore with this story, so they're on to the next victim.
