When I leave Atlanta I will miss these burgers as much as anything.

Surprisingly, the best burger I have had in Atlanta was at Dave & Buster's. I don't remember the exact name of the burger but it had sauteed mushrooms and the ground beef was so off the chain good that I think even a Midwesterner would be pleased with the quality.

The next best was at a fast food place called Back Yard Burger. It seriously tasted like someone had pulled it straight off a grill with charcoal and some briquettes and not just poured liquid smoke on it.

A lot of my friends love Fuddruckers and while I appreciate the wide variety of condiments, I don't like buttered buns and don't find the meat to be all that tasty. Still, I recognize my opinion seems to put me in the minority so it's worth giving the place a try; it is not unique to Atlanta because I have heard about it for years from friends in other cities.

I'm yet to get one better than the ghetto burger at Ann's. Although I could probably only eat it once a month if I plan to keep my arteries in tact.

Farm Burger + Morellis Salted Caramel Shake. I like the one along Chamblee Dunwoody because the in-house Morellis does not scrimp on ingredients when making their shake.

Quick, cheap, yummy.

My Back Yard has phenomenal burgers but it's really hard to get in.
