Got my new Telephoto Zoom lens for my camera on Monday and decided to test it out today at a couple of parking garages and a the King Memorial Station. Enjoy.

Midtown from King Memorial Station

Buckhead from King Memorial Station--About 4-5 miles away if I can recall

East Downtown Skyline View and Density

Another Shot of Downtown from the East at King Memorial Station

East Downtown/Sweet Auburn density

Midtown Skyline/Density shot from Aquarium Parking Deck -- Midtown's density is far more impressive at height than on ground somehow.

Ferris Wheel and Fairlie Poplar

Another Fairlie Poplar Skyline shot

Midtown with some Buckhead in the background

Close up on Midtown's skyline

Mountains?

Yet Another Midtown skyline shot with even more Buckhead in the background

Looking towards the Edgewood Avenue Cooridor

Stone Mountain...about 15-16 miles away

Buckhead Skyline from Downtown!

Great shots! And I can't help but agree that at the moment, Midtown's density is a bit overrated; the reality on the ground differs from what your shots indicate. Hopefully that changes and we can fill in more of the gaps and surface parking lots over the next five years or so.

Excellent work. The Fairlie Poplar pic looks like a city in the northeast. The 'mountains' pic is Kennesaw Mountain.

Very cool! Those are super high-quality photos.

I almost thought that pic with Kennesaw Mountain was a different city at first. It looks much bigger the way you shot it.

I think the Fairlie Poplar shot with the Ferris Wheel is my favorite,

Your shots are very nice, Ant!

And they also help draw attention to the cancer that is above ground power lines that plague Atlanta.

King Memorial is easily one of the best vantage points of the entire City of Atlanta skyline. Because lets be honest, its the only one that really matters. Perimeter and Cumberland are cute and all with their 20-something story buildings, but none have anything to complete with the big 3 cores.

Yeah, it's ridiculous...the power lines were awful. They ruin good photos. You look at other cities around the world like London, Paris and even a few cities here like NYC and SF and they have little to no power lines so it makes taking great shots really easy...these are literally some of the best shots I could get while avoiding as much power lines as possible.
