Clearly a largely poor and uneducated county voting for MARTA to run a few buses into their county is indicative of a shift toward policies which will surely create a new GA Silicon Valley and improve health care policy.

Duh.

Anyone want to do a mock-up of what an expanded rail system to Clayton might look like?

I honestly don't know if I've ever set foot in Clayton County (aside from the airport), so I don't know what areas would be the best candidates for rail stations.

I am curious, is there a public analysis of the clayton sales tax funds that shows that some of the revenue will actually go to build new lines. Given they haven't had the money to build new rail anywhere in the system I would be surprised if this gave them funds beyond provided the bus service and maintenance costs.

1/2 cent to Bus Ops
1/2 cent for future Train line

In the MARTA Agreement with Clanton, 1/2cent will be "escrowed" for future "Train" line of some kind.

that's the thing though, I moved two years ago, but my license still has my old address and I never registered to vote in Cobb. When I called the offices to find out where to go, they said go to Clayton so I did. Glad my vote counted.

If its over ~60 days ago you just committed voter fraud in Clayon (Georgia).
I moved March 1st 2013. From Riverdale Road to South Cobb Drive
College Park to Smyrna. Good to see Marta expanding.

Interesting. Are their projections of how much that is expected to be per year.

I'd like to see a blown up & clear view of your mock up that was at the Saportareport link you included here.
All of my printing results of that page have either made the fine print too small to read or they have been blurred when enlarged.
Any suggestions with that or does anyone else have a link that clearly shows MARTA's Clayton plans?
