How ever MARTA decides to do it whether building a new maintenance facility or using its existing maintenance facilities, the important thing is that a county that is as urban and as centrally located as Clayton County will once again be getting transit service and likely at a level that will be substantially higher than before when the county was serviced by C-TRAN.
From my knowledge, I know some people that work in the admin. side of MARTA, there is going to be a South facility to be built in Clayton. The existing facilities are too far away from the Clayton County bus routes. I forgot the name that was used, but it will be coming.

That's cool, I don't see the immediate need for a new bus facility now since the Hamilton Blvd facility is less than 2 miles from Mountain View/Forest Park. But if MARTA has the money to do it, they should probably upgrade the old C-tran facility on Southlake Pkwy in Jonesboro.

Quick side note, I was driving pass Clayton State when I noticed that there was a bus station/train station and parking deck already built by the county in anticipation for the future rail line through the county. The station is pretty nice looking. I may add some picture to show within the week.

MARTA has been saying yes to Clayton. I guess I may have been to young to remember this.

I attended the MARTA open house in Riverdale on Saturday which was very well-attended to the extent that I was pleasantly surprised by it!
Among the helpful things I learned & saw there were 3 different easel stand maps of routes to be rolled out in Clayton over a period of time, including the start of the routes this coming weekend.
