Love it!

The artists gave us their contribution at no cost...which is their right to do.

They didn't like what they saw, so they took it back. Also their right!

It's a big finger to "the man," which I typically support.

Is it within your purview to unilaterally destroy art in the public domain because you are mad about something?

If you want to paint a picture on your own canvas and keep it in your own room, then you can deface or destroy it as you wish. However, once you avail yourself of the public domain as your medium, the equation changes. We all own that canvas.
That's key.

Once you charge admission to the tunnel, it's no longer public domain. So, until the event is over, you won't be seeing any new art in the tunnel from the vast majority of Atlanta's best street artists. This whole protest is to keep street art IN the public domain, and because of that, the artists are going to pounce on the tunnel like this city has never seen before right after the party clears out.

Do you know the line of artist he will paint the KROG STREET WALL for a ham sandwich. It's the Louvre of street murals for Atlanta. The only bottom line you are cutting into, is your own. I get why you don't want the event, hell I agree with you, but you lost the process.

You don't need any reason at all to go into the tunel and paint over whatever you want.

If you know anything about the tunnel, you know that everything in there is temporary. Do yourself a favor and don't get too attached.

So is painting Krog Street exempt from the city graffiti laws?

The fact that the street is closing is not really the issue.
