best stores to buy appliances?
We are moving into our townhome in a few months and are looking to buy a french door fridge, washer, and dryer. Does anyone have any recommendations on where we will find the best values? I know Sears, Best Buy, and Home Depot have a lot of selection. But I've heard HH Gregg and Brandsmart will negotiate prices with you. Do they come down a lot?
Appreciate any advice.

BrandsMart will negotiate a little, but not much. The salespeople are over zealous and the customer service is LOUSY. Don't even get me started on the delivery service. When I complained about the delivery to my salesperson, all he had to say is, "Yeah, we've been having a problem with that." I understand HH Gregg is much more customer friendly. I would not buy so much as a tape measure from BrandsMart again.

In September, we were shopping for a front loading washer/dryer, refrigerator, 61" LED DLP TV, high end A/V receiver, and high end surround speakers. I shopped BB, CC, Brandsmart, and HH Gregg.
The manager at HH Gregg introduced himself to me and told me that he would ensure that I didn't need to go anywhere else. He gave me a % off the sale pricing and offered very discounted extended warranties and free delivery if I would buy it all from him. I ended up spending around $6K with them. I got a good deal and they got all my business.

Yeah. You definetely want to go to hhgregg. If you go to the one on Cumberland Blvd, the sales manager, TJ, can work out with you a great deal with 5 year warranty at much lower prices. Katherine is a general maanger there. Roswe is the sale guy who can work out the best prices for you. I was so happy that I went there and bought everything I needed for my new condo. All you need to do is post your comments afterwards.

Interesting- I've never been inside an HHgregg but I'll definitely check it out. I just saw their site and they have some other things we also plan on buying: a 61" Samsung DLP, a 42" Samsung Plasma, tv stands, HTiB, shredder, alarm clock, printer, etc. Hopefully we can get a great deal by combining these with the fridge and washer/dryer. Should I ask to speak directly to a manager when I go there?

It wouldn't hurt asking to speak to the manager at each of the stores you go into to shop these items. Let them know you have a large purchase to make and ask what discounts they are willing to extend to you. If you don't ask, you don't get. Worst they can do is tell you they won't do anything for you.

We bought all our appliances from ApplianceMart as ding and dents. All stainless steel and the fridge is double doors with a bottom freezer like the OP wanted. We found they had by far the best prices if you were willing to live with a little dent here and there (Often times on the side or back where you don't notice it). We were able to get a premium brand and still come up much cheaper then the retail stores. We found they had a good selection and they have multiple stores so you can be somewhat picky and still get a good deal.
If you buy there just do not use their installation guys as they do not know what they are doing.

Yes. You will get a great deal if you do. Before you go there, check out other stores and narrow down the brand and models. You will be so much happier when you get their prices.

Ooooo forgot this one.....Go to Builder Specialties off of Peachtree Industrial blvd. or Wade Green in Kenesaw. they provide appliances directly to area builders. I picked up scratch and dent their before. Good way to afford upscale applainces. Not bad! Just shop your prices before you go. www. builderspecialties.net
