OK, then you really need to go! Just enroll in school, pay the out of state tuition for a year, get a job, find a roomie in the coolest part of town and GO!!!!!!!

Go sow your wild oats! However, as a mother and a contractor at CDC I caution you to always protect yourself from public health threats! But go have fun!

I think you do have some issues and moving might be best for you. The thing is, people, music and shops of different ethnic groups are more or less everywhere so you might need to look to going to outer space.

There's also Savannah Hilton Head Airport, im sure there is an Amtrak train that can take you west.

There was really no need for you to get on here an insult anyone's intelligence, I dont care who you are or what you look like! Im sure Georgia doesnt really need you, especially for you to insult anyone's intelligence. So while your leaving picture the 4 million people that moved to the Atlanta suburbs in 5 years. Also if im your reason for leaving so be it!
See people like you are all Georgia has for the most part, and that is why I want to leave. The people that are moving here are doing so based solely on the statistics and the low cost of living. Once they get here they will quickly realize how boring and backwards this place really is.

The education system here is the worst I have ever experienced too by the way(I was lucky enough to home school my last semester of high school so I could actually learn something). All we ever learned was how to take the standardized tests to get the schools more funding. How the hell is that supposed to prepare me for college? Case in point it doesn't.

Also how can you defend your state when you elected this guy twice?
MilkandCookies - Stephen Colbert vs Congressman Lynn Westmoreland (GA)

Seriously you contribute nothing to this topic so get out, or I will continue to lambast you.

Plus I just noticed your screen name and I hope to God you actually are the mayor because that would effectively prove my point of how horrid Georgia really is.

I can see it now: Georgia the place where mayors come into your topics to provoke flame wars with depressed twenty year olds instead of actually doing something to better his crummy state!

I don't mind different ethnic groups. I have many friends that are African American. I just have a problem with the southern Georgia thug African Americans that make crap like this:

YouTube - Ms. Peachez - Fry That Chicken

I mean seriously what the hell are they doing to help America making crap like that? They are setting back their race for other upstanding African American citizens twenty years!

I also posted this topic to get ideas of where to relocate not ***** and complain. Sorry if my post contains a bit of bitching and complaining. I just thought if people knew why I was leaving it would help them in giving me suggestions. I need ideas of where to relocate to so please post ideas not hate or whatever the hell certain people are trying to do.

I mean yes I haven't experienced it but that is the gist of what all that has to offer. Yea there are some cool people but they are few and far between.

That was rambling sorry but hopefully you see what I am trying to say. I guess I am just really ready to get out and nothing can keep me here and thank you for trying to help and convince me otherwise but I am really hard headed and nothing can make me want to stay anymore. Too many red necks, stupid people, thugged out African Americans playing crap crunk music, wigger people all over, and on top of it all my neighborhood has turned into Korea/China since they opened an Asian market next to my neighborhood. ha
If you're afraid of Asians, "wiggers" (very offensive term, by the way), and other minorities, then you should really reconsider California. In fact, you should really reconsider whether you should be moving from Suwanee, or if you should be moving further out towards Braselton.

Atlanta has a very cool music scene, and a decent indie scene that goes way beyond 311 and Jack Johnson. The problem is that your little a* is only 20 years old and you can't get into a lot of the live music venues like the EARL, Lenny's, or Eyedrum. You also need to broaden your music tastes if your only gauge for a live music scene is the frequency of visits by 311 and Jack Johnson.

My only suggestions for you are:
  • Wait until you turn 21 before making quick judgements about an urban area.
  • Broaden your music tastes and branch out a little.
  • Tone down the typecasting and stereotyping. If you can't handle others that are different then you should relocate to some homogeneous cookie-cutter suburb.
  • Relocate and get out so you can see what else is out there. This is very important for someone your age.
  • You may want to try a traditional college town that has others your age.

I listen to tons of music from Joy Division to Simon and Garfunkel to The Beatles to Hendrix to 311 to Primus really too much to list to be honest. I just did not feel like listing tons of bands so I listed two of my favorites. One band that does come a lot if Pepper which is cool but I like lots of bands.

I also have no problem with Asians I just find it strange that I am now a minority and I live in Suwanee, Georgia. I don't hate any race because I myself am multiracial. I am Caucasian and Lebanese. I just hate unintelligent people that will never contribute anything to society like wiggers. I know it's offensive to them but I do not care. If they have a problem with it they can go get a job and do something with their life rather than sell drugs and start fights. I know it's stereotyping all wiggers but seriously the ones around here that is all they do. I have never met a good one. Perhaps California has similar people that are upstanding citizens which would change my perspective. I also should be a racist considering how many racists are around here. I here the n word at least ten times a day it's ridiculous.

South-to-west is right. And I still think you should move to a starter-city (ie, Atlanta) first. I don't care how many times you visit or "stay" here you don't really get to know a city till you LIVE there fulltime.

You want good music? Go sit in Aurora and look at the bulletin boards. All kinds of local gigs.

I know you're anxious, etc, and you're disenchanted with home but some of the things you're saying just aren't true across the board. But I get where you're coming from.

I left Atlanta for New Orleans. I enrolled at Tulane...and I'm having a great great great time. New Orleans is highly recommended but a. only if you have some self discipline , you can't go out to party nightly. You will flunk out.
And two New Orleans isn't anything like Atlanta. It's dirty, its artsy, its dangerous, its heavily cultured. I cannot say its for everyone but from a former Georgian, highly recommended. Would move here again, A++++ /eBay.

Hey Vampgrrl, I hope you stay in NOLA. My old home needs people who love her and understand her. She's an old w h o r e with a heart of gold - I love her!

And it being a lot different from Atlanta is one of the reasons I recommended it...
