It's hard for me to get behind the idea of a city of Tucker. They've always made a point of not being an incorporated city and why they would want to now isn't clear, unless it's about trying scarf up Northlake.

If it's what the people want I am okay with it.

They may get some pushback on the Northlake thing.

If Tucker incorporating prevents other imaginary places from becoming reality, I'm all for it. Otherwise, the metro doesn't need any more little towns/suburbs. We need unity, not separation.

+1

I always assumed Tucker was already an incorporated city.

When DeKalb was working well, I am sure that was the status quo. DeKalb is a mess and citizens are realizing things aren't the same. For Tucker to maintain the sense of community it has been able to have for all these years, it must act proactively or be piecemealed out to others... most notably LaBriarlakevistaside. Of all the proposed cities coming online, Tucker makes the most sense as it has had an identity for decades... similar to Dunwoody and Sandy Springs. It just makes sense, should have been done a long time ago.
