Correlation is not causation. To break through this myth, transit advocates have to break though the insulation that has allowed many to avoid the real world. Crime, homelessness and poverty are much bigger issues than a rail line running through a community. Even without the outlying counties, transit can be implemented in a way that discredits this myth and shows that it is a good investment. We can't let politics get in the way of smart choices that could otherwise undermine truth and reward ignorance.
