If you want more working professional...also look at Amli Perimeter Place. Perimeter Mall area is hot for young professionals but it doesn't have that 'intown' feel.

These areas are very safe and may offer a little more quiet than the intown choices. Good luck!
Thanks! I'll look into those.

Definetly do inner city Atlanta. Coming from Philly you will be unhappy in too suburban of an area. Be prepared to pay more, I don't know your budget.

I live in Duluth and it's a very nice county and offer a comfortable safe living - alittle pricey but not as high as the northern east coast. I'm from NJ and moved to the ATL 3 years ago. I find the job market here is different and depending on your profession the salary is not the same as the north. It's not cheap to live here because so many people are moving to ATL. Taxes are different in every county - especially car registration.

I enjoyed my time in the ATL, but I am relocating back up north - need to make more money!

Actually Atlanta is cheaper than Philly. I grew up in Philly and have lived in Atlanta for 11 years. My friends still all live up in Philly - rents and parking are definitely more reasonable in Atlanta.

Good thing you are coming down to Atlanta in your 20s - this is definitely not the place to be single heading into your 30s. Myself and a few friends are leaving Atlanta just for that reason. Atlanta has a good quality of life, but the singles scenes beyond your 20s really sucks down here. best of luck to you!
