If Karvers percentage of 3s were just even barely better we could have won but im kind of glad we lost so they can regroup and get better instead of getting over confident or arrogant.

What's jacked up is now all the haters are going to ride this team off and say the Cavs are the team to beat in the East now.

The way the Hawks played tonight was, for the most part, nothing to be proud of. Anthony Davis was all over them.

In a way, I'm actually glad the streak ended tonight. Don't get me wrong, the Dec-Jan. streak was fun (the winning, the slow movement of ESPN towards the Hawks, the filling of Philips Arena, the Hawks' Twitter craziness, and so on), but the moment the 76ers took the lead in the fourth quarter of Saturday's game and almost broke the streak, the writing was on the wall.

We have a key* player out and the team just doesn't quite have the same team finesse they had until late January. This loss allows Coach Bud and the team to go back and look at what went wrong, except this time, there's no streak to maintain. In a way, it's as if a huge burden has just been lifted from their shoulders.

Overall, things still look fantastic. Undefeated January, 19 straight (tied for 6th longest in NBA history,) 1st in the Southeast, 1st in the East, three All-Stars (albeit reserves), and Korver is still on track to make NBA history. Historic streak or not, these Hawks are amazing to watch.

On to Wednesday, when the Hawks are back in Atlanta!

(* With a team that's become known this season for its style of team basketball, everyone is more or less a "team player", hence my use of the term.)

Actually, that's mostly just ESPN, and they spend 90% of their time worshiping LeBron anyways, Hawks streak or not.

Not exactly. Injuries tell a different tale. Noah, D Rose, Dunleavy, Dougie McBuckets all have been or are still out with injuries for a length of time.

Get this team healthy and they're going to be a whole different machine.

Case in point. This summer the Chicago Sky had several key injuries all season long; struggled to make the playoffs. They get everyone back at the start of the playoffs, beat the Atlanta Dream and go all the way to the finals. Regular season is one thing, the playoffs are a whole 'nother beast.

I would like to thank Yahoo for making the Hawks the LEAD story AFTER they cleaned house all of last month.
Thanks for making EVERY useless story a priority over their phenomenal month of play....butt heads.

I've followed th Hawks since 1970- this is by far the best team they have ever had. Winning 33 out of 36 right now- tha's no fluke. I expect them to play for the NBA championship. Cleveland will be our biggest threat in the playoffs. Chicago is VERY OVERRATED- they don't play defense, and half the time don't put forth a good effort. The Hawks are great because they play as a team. Chicago is great on paper, but not on the court.
