I do not really have an opinion about whether LED is better or worse. I'd just go along with clear street signs at intersections.

Some of them are too bright and can be blinding from a distance. The old hps lamps were better for a soft glow of light at night. The street doesn't need to be lit up like daylight.

I have neighbors who had the county (Cobb) install some new LED street lights, and, Lord Have Mercy, they are insanely bright. It's like daylight on that side of our yard. Seriously, it can't be good for wildlife.
Any suggestions for ways we can minimize the brightness (on our side at least?) Thankfully, thicker summer foliage has helped temporarily...
