Has anyone seen the LEDs coming up around Atlanta? They seem to be replacing lights only in poorer neighbourhoods, like West End and Summerhill. I am interested to see what they will look like in a more urban context, like Downtown.
They seem to be better than the ones they installed last year around the AUC that were super bright and obnoxious. I do wish they'd go with a bit cooler "night time" colour, though.
What do you guys think of them so far?

I saw a few of these new ones somewhere this week, and it made a huge difference. I want these all over town.

I think they both are in incredible improvement over the horrendous orange lights in cities now. I would give anything to go back to white lights.

I've seen some around midtown. I think they are replacing the heads with LED as the old HPS heads need replacing.

oh wow, tell me where you've seen them. the only place i've seen them in midtown is when they did a test and installed 3 on 8th street, but that was like 5 years ago. i would like to see how they change the streetscape.

Did they integrate the new LEDs into the existing stoplight housings?
