Extreme Makeover: MLK Edition - Curbed Atlanta
Atlanta aims to transform Martin Luther King Jr. Drive into "Martin Luther King Jr. Grand Boulevard," which will be "one of the most attractive streets in America." City planners presented early concept sketches to residents earlier this week, revealing a paradise of bike lanes, leafy medians, roundabouts, art, decorative walls and pocket parks. If approved, the easier bits — things like landscaping and center medians — could be completed by 2017 with other, more time consuming elements like streetlights and bike lanes finished in five years. Now, who is going to take care of the buildings and lots that sit on this gorgeous street? [Creative Loafing]

Cool!

As Chris Rock said one time (and it was truer when he said it than nowadays), MLK Drive is the most dangerous street in most cities. But MLK is our native son and the most famous Atlantan ever so our MLK Drive should be the grandest and most beautiful street in the city. It's a shame city planners are only just now getting around to this.

Yea it would but you just never know. I am glad they are planning to do some changes as a growing up in the 90s and when the games came they said the same thing and also had money for it. Really just a wait and see approach
