So, I've taken a new job in Sandy Springs, and I need some help. Currently, I have to drive south on I75 and around the perimeter to Sandy Springs. I get off on exit 26, right before 400.

Any tips/alternate routes you guys/gals can suggest would be greatly appreciated. I'm not used to traffic like Atlanta's, so, any tips at all I'll gladly take.

Good luck. That might be the worst commute in Atlanta or it is definitely in the top 3 in the morning. Your only saving grace will be to change your hours so you come in at 7am

I'll probably end up getting there at 7:30 or so every morning just to avoid the bulk. When does it start to get really bad? I really don't have a clue about 8am traffic in this town.

I don't travel it everyday, but it seems the window to get down that route easily starts to slowly close starting a little after 7 and is completely shut by 7:30 or shortly after. That's not a terrible commute in terms of total distance, despite what the earlier poster said.

Around Calhoun. I can come in from the north too, and avoid interstates completely, but I don't think it's any faster doing that.

You need to be at work by 7am. Traffic is heavy from Acworth to 285 from around 7:15 AM until..

Traffic begins on 285 E at 400 around 3:50pm ish in the afternoon. If you can get off at 3:30pm it would be great. Pull up your traffic app tomorrow morning around 7am and at 3:50pm today and see how much red and yellow that you see. if you cant come in at 7am i would decline the job offer. FYI the traffic will be a little lighter here until after New Years.

AGAIN DEMAND THAT YOU HAVE TO BE AT WORK BY 7AM OR YOU WILL HATE YOUR LIFE

Calhoun? Have fun. Morning would be fine getting to work by 7 but 285 at 75 can start backing up by 3. Even at 245 right now it's starting to slow down. Unless you can change your hours it's just gonna be rough. Side roads can wipe out any advantage with just a few red lights. 400 is bad too so no point in going out of the way over there.
