Norfolk Southern is staffed 24/7. I'm pretty sure they might want something.

I wonder what all could survive in midtown streets...
With Lenox and Atlantic station so nearby the competition is bound to be intense. Now that PCM is open Midtowners have options over there as well.

At least one or two pizza or burgers spots. The beloved Checker's, my previous late night spot is gone for Hanover project and that Chinesee restaurant in the student building next to gas station don't taste good to me.

Any news when are they starting construction at the EVIVA 811 Peachtree? Many links say "status" in construction but I just passed by the lot yesterday and do not see any signs of construction yet????

I think it's some kind of dispute between the developer and Mayor.

It's too bad the "Midtown Mile" concept seems to have been abandoned, but maybe there's something similar in the works. Hopefully there will be a lot more street level shops and restaurants, or even stacked on top of each other. I didn't know there plenty of business west of Midtown Station on 10th Street (such as Steel Sushi, Chinese Buhdda, Marlow's Tavern, etc). Are those new?

Yes, it really is a disappointment. I don't know if the Midtown Mile concept has been abandoned so much as failed to materialize due to lack of success in attracting retailers. Also, I think developments like Ponce City Market have siphoned away retailers that otherwise may have been interested in setting up shop in the vacant storefronts between 14th and 10th Streets. There's significant vacant space in the 12th & Midtown property as well as the other large building across the street. Meanwhile, those two one-story buildings that Dewberry owns, which formerly housed nightclubs, sit empty, as does his prime parcel at 10th and Peachtree. There are still way too many "dead zones" in Midtown, despite all the new apartment buildings going up.

No, those have all been around for a while.
