Do you guys think Uptown Atlanta (between midtown and buckhead) will ever be developed?

I think it will be so cool if downtown, midtown, possibly Uptown and buckhead could combine by 2040?

Do you guys think it would be cool if the skylines could be combined and give ourselves a dramatic view from Downtown-Buckhead while driving on the interstate?

Please give your reasons why?

How about great street activity along peachtree street while walking, biking, or riding transit on the street?

The only thing between Midtown and Buckhead is I-85.

South Buckhead will have it's time eventually. Right now it's just Midtown and Downtown's turn. There are so many auto centric shopping centers in the area. Don't know if they will ever make those pedestrian friendly.

South Buckhead already has a number of interesting things going on. The completion of the Beltline along Bennett street and on to Armour yard on the east side of Peachtree should boost things even more. Memorial park is also undergoing a huge renovation.

Uptown is technically in Midtown neighborhood. It is a buzzword that Dewberry Capital has tried to push to the north end of Midtown to attract development maybe, but really it is part of Midtown.

Building odd what GeorgiaPeanuts said, "Uptown" is basically a marketing term that is used a few places. It is not a formally recognized district / area / neighborhoods in Atlanta.

Correct. The area is actually called Pershing Point, if I'm not mistaken. I hope that when Dewberry finally gets around to developing the area, that the plans for a Marta infill station are revived. The area is a bit of a hike from the closest station (Arts Center).

That would be terribly expensive.
