Hi, just a couple questions. I currently live in Pittsburgh and I'm looking to relocate to Atlanta in the upcoming year. I know they say to go to where the jobs are but I need your input despite that. I'm trying to pin down a couple areas to look at. Here are the factors:

I'm 26, my cousin is 23. We're single, women, young professionals, mixed race. We'll be in Grad School. I don't care about the racial makeup, any area with a fair mix is fine with me as long as its safe. What are the neighborhoods to stay away from? Our budget would be up to 1200k per month. I have a Rottweiler (this is the hardest part and why I say forget where the jobs are). We like night life. We don't have kids.

Any suggestions on where to start looking?

With the Rott, I know its best to look at independent owners. However, if anyone knows of any places without breed restrictions in an area that would suit us, please advise! Just don't comment with "Don't tell them hes a Rottweiler" or anything like that-thats not helping anyone!

Metro Atlanta is a very large place. Where will you be going to Grad school and / or working? That will be key in where you want to live.

Assuming it is around GSU / GT / Emory, your budget should allow you to get into Midtown which is a great place to start and get to know the city.
