I was looking at a place to rent that is near marietta square about 2 miles how safe is the area i have a small son and a teenage daughter

You will need to be a little more specific. Do you want to rent a house or an apt.? How much do you want to spend?
Marietta Square is very charming but some of the areas surrounding it are so-so. You might want to widen your search perimeter based on which school you want your children to go to.

there are lots of places to rent around the Mareitta Square. If schools are a consideration, you might want to look into what primary school you'll be zoned for... Marietta City Schools - The Difference is Excellence.. North of the square is a nice area... going too far west can land you in a very transitional area.

I live in Marietta and find it too be very safe and close to everything. I have no children so I am not sure about the school systems. I feel safe here. I am new to the area myself.
