I can't wait to see it in person in 2017.

so what's that fronting COP drive? a bunch of solar panels?

it's a stadium... it doesn't have any mixed use capabilities and will be dormant most of the time. i like that it approaches northside at ground level, but without any significant redesign of the area, such as extending andrew young international to northside drive to solve the connectivity problem created by the stadium, i don't see how it will affect the streetscape positively.

my vote is "meh". the city of atlanta had the upper hand on this and could have required the stadium to fund the boulevard connection and meet some urban design requirements, but instead, they handed the $200+ million over like a hot potato.

The new stadium is stunning and excellent! It and SunTrust Park opening in 2017 should boost attendance for the Falcons, the yet to be named Major League Soccer team and the Braves.

Why are they depicting their parking lot as a grass field?

I love it! I just wonder if the price to see the falcons or whomever in the new stadium will be affordable. I know that the season tickets will not be affordable.

Especially when you consider they didn't even start tearing down the churches and parking lots until last May!
