Not really... Not of that particular development. Ironically, it even has cross streets on the development.

But mostly it is also a by hypocritical when something is done to change an area with existing issues in Dunwoody/Sandy Springs you put it down, but the Beltline that previously had issues is praised.

The other issue to bring up is your actual argument was attacking its urbanity.

I have to point out that it is 71 units/acre with mixed retail next to transit. It is in direct walking distance of millions of square feet of office and jobs.

Compare that to large lots in the that are better characterized as an older suburb where most jobs are at a distance away. Don't get me wrong their a wonderful neighborhood, but I have to make the extreme comparison, since you only seem to be fixated on square neighborhood streets.

When talking about urbanization there is still a very large importance on proximity, size, and mixed-use your side-stepping here.

Let's get real. This is a spectacular, transit-oriented urban project that any city would give its eye teeth to have. It sure beats the heck out of some of the junk that's been going up in the city of Atlanta.

Still most people will deive, it will have 1300 more spaces than AS, and it will be dumping those cars onto the Hammond/Perimeter center Pkwy intersection. I applaud it for being across the street from a station.

Umm it connects as best it can to the existing streets. 2 of the cross streets extend almost to the property edge

They can't magically force owners of adjacent properties to build roads adjoining to their roads, but maybe as adjacent lots get redeveloped the other developers will extend the roads further.

I'd like it better if they dropped about 75% of the proposed number of parking spaces.

When one thinks of the major commercial areas in town, one does one think of?

Midtown. Downtown. Buckhead. Perimeter.

Yes, Perimeter. That place is quickly establishing itself as a booming commercial center. And it doesn't look like the growth is stopping any time soon. In fact, it's just getting going.
