I'm on Long Island, looking to move to Peachtree City. I am curious why you are moving away from PTC?

Im currently renting a house here, and will be buying a home shortly. While I would love to stay in PTC, I just can't afford anything that is of decent size. It's a tad expensive for anything new here, so Im going to probably head over to Newnan where I can get alot more home for my money. I'll be less than 15 mins away so that's not bad. PTC is definitely the best I've seen on the south side of Atlanta.

Yes..Depends on where you live in Atlanta. I agree whit Plessthanpiointosfive...would add Atlantic Station if the hustle and bustle is music to your ears. I live in Douglasville. We drive everywhere can be at the GA Dome in 25 min, Braves Stadium in 20min. All of the chain restaurants are within 5 mins of my home. Beagles are in the fridge. I love it here. Religion is person. People are free to be who they are here. I have never been hit with a Bible. People are just being friendly, but most don't ask unless they really now you. People are friendly here…Sometimes overly so..no harm intended

If you are from an area like Rye or Westchester county in general, and you want an easier transition, Buckhead, Brookhaven, Vinings and Inman park would float your boat. If you are from Queens, try Little 5, Highlands, Decatur areas, and there are also many great denser neighborhoods on the south and west sides of town, but I have less experience with these.

Lived in Astoria, Qns, NY. If you are adaptable Atlanta is a good city and the you cant beat the housing costs. However, a pay cut is expected. Atlanta is a progressive city. R&B and hip/hop are not my cup of tea. But then again my husband gave me satellite radio
