I didn't know "Zone 6" was a thing. Zone 6 is probably the safest of Atlanta's 6 zones after 2 and 5. I'm guessing Zone 6 was more infamous before it gentrified.

Lil Vietnam AKA East Lake Meadows was a dangerous place before Cousins invested in it. Safest, are you speaking all crime or major, violent crimes? Any place that has a high retail concentration will suffer from car break ins.

Interestingly enough, I just checked APD's (excellent and highly useful) crime mapper to look at instances of homicide and aggravated assault since the beginning of 2015.

Here's the data I found:

Zone 1 (South of Perry Blvd, North of I-20, West of Northside) 1 homicide, 27 Agg. Assaults
Zone 2 (Buckhead, Berkeley Park) 0 homicides, 10 agg. assaults.
Zone 3 (Southeast ATL) 2 homicides, 23 agg. assaults
Zone 4 (Southwest ATL) 1 homicide, 35 agg. assaults
Zone 5 (Downtown, Midtown, and Westside) 1 homicide, 15 agg. assaults (I don't know how many of these were the Midtown puncher guy)
Zone 6 (Old Fourth, East Atlanta) 1 homicide, 8 agg. assaults

Zone 6, so far in 2015, has had a low level of violent crime which is comparable to Zone 2.

Funny how they can leave that stuff out.

It's almost as if some people like to glorify the rough edges. Why is that?

My thoughts:

1. Why would you want to tell on video where the trap is?
2. The first part (with Young Scooter) is at Bixby Courts, right?, so I guess everybody's going to be moving pretty soon.
3. I had no idea the Arizona Lofts were that close to Edgewood Courts
4. This video is really well done, very cinematic
5. It makes Kirkwood look a lot rougher than it is
6. Did it shift to the Bluff in the last few minutes, or did Curtis Snow move to Edgewood?

My favorite video that makes a neighborhood look rougher than it is, though, is this jewel:http://youtu.be/pWl-6fgqcx4

The only part shot in Kirkwood was Bixby, which is scheduled to get torn down this summer and replaced with luxury apartments.
The video was well edited/
Yes Arizona and Edgewood back up to each other and yes Edgewood Court is just like that, no exaggeration there.
They must have avoided all the newly renovated and new construction homes in Kirkwood. As well as the stroller mafia pushing their kids around. Other music videos shot in Kirkwood have done a great job at this as well. I intentional walked thru a video shoot at the Kirkwood sign with my daughter in her stroller.
It did shift to Curtis Snow and the The Bluff at the end.

Really? It doesn't look rough in the video at all. Pretty accurate from what I can tell. I recognized most of the landmarks (the church, high rise, etc) from hanging in that area while my daughter had swim practice.
