Cobb development officials are scheduled to vote Tuesday whether to grant The Home Depot's request for $200 million.

Home Depots stock has shot up over the last year. Hopefully Atlanta will throw some money their way to move to Midtown.

I don't think Invest Atlanta needs to throw them any special amounts of money (besides maybe help them with financing that is available to all). But Home Depot may be interested in avoiding Braves / Cobb traffic and being closer to smart University graduates, transit, and the airport.

If Cobb County denies this (which they should, good LORD!), this may be the beginning of Home Depot moving to another county in the metro area. Heaven forbid they leave the state altogether...
