Every morning on the news, I see crazy commute times on 75S. How do you people up there do it? I'd go nuts having to put up with that on a daily basis.

It has always been that way, it seems.
I lived in Marietta back in the early 80s.
I had to be down at the Georgia State campus by 9 AM
If I left my house at 6:45, I could be downtown by 7:30
If I left at 7:00 I would be late most of the time.

I'm not sure MARTA would help very much.

It would if they had a line to downtown and one to the Perimeter. There will always be traffic though like in DC. DC has a nice rail system and they still have bad traffic

I work at home for an hour (or so) then leave around 9:30. That usually avoids the worst of the insanity. Unless some tailgating idiot can't stop in time and causes an accident that blocks some of the lanes.

But, I lived in the Chicago area for many years doing a cross-suburb commute. I just got used to bad traffic.

Fair enough, but why do you think people accept this way of life?

I leave very early, like 615. That avoids the worst of it.

Edit: I accept it because cobb has good schools, low crime, and low cost of living. Great place for a family.

It's no big deal if you work from home.
