I feel this would be bad move and that the state should keep its hands off ATL's airport.

No, no, no, it should not happen. The city of Atlanta needs the money that the State want give them for revenue. The State should be content with receiving revenue from the Port of Georgia and leave Hartsfield alone.

Equally as pointless as the state congresswoman seeking to annex the new Braves stadium. Next!

It's not going to happen. The city of Atlanta owns its airport and would have to sell it to the state for the state to take it over. Never going to happen, but it's the kind of thing hillbillly legislators from butt**** county can propose that will make their Atlanta-hating constituents happy.

Nope; the airport is run very well under CoA control. This would just be an illogical state power grab.

Agree. I could possibly see centralizing control of certain public functions, but the airport absolutely is not among them. It's already exceptionally well run. No need for any additional layers there.

The state has always been piggybacking on Atlanta's success. Just another way for the state to make more money off an airport that has done just fine.
