This has had brief mentions in other threads, but I think it deserves it's own:

The City of Atlanta will be holding an vote on Tuesday March 17th for the infrastructure bonds.

Details of the bond are available here: City of Atlanta, GA : Renew Atlanta 2015 Infrastructure Bond
Map: Atlanta Infrastructure Map

One key thing: There are actually two votes. One for "Transportation Projects" and one for "Municipal Facilities".

"Transportation Projects" will include things like new synchronized stop lights, resurfacing roads, and bike lanes. "Municipal Facilities" is dominated by things like the largest project which is a $17.5M pool. I encourage you to vote for "transportation projects" and against the "facilities" as that their should be higher priority spending projects than pools.

But regardless of how you vote, get out and vote. Turn out is expected to be very very low, so your vote will count a lot.

Early voting is currently open. Details are available here: City of Atlanta Residents Encouraged to Vote Early for Special Election for Infrastructure Bond Referendums

Looks like PEDS is not too excited about this.

Rescue curb ramp and sidewalk repair funds!

Does anybody have the final project list? I've looked at the city's website on this and downloaded the projects but they don't add up.

And what about the $17.5 million to design and build a new swimming pool? I though this was a bond intended to address urgent infrastructure needs.

News Briefs: Glenwood Chick-fil-a; MLK Natatorium; Callaway Building - Atlanta INtown Paper

You can see the list of project they have here. But yeah, they shifted some "city wide" projects like sidewalk repairs to allow buckets of money to each council district to spend as they see fit. I don't think there is a project list for that.

Yep. That is why I voted against the "Facilities" component of the bond.

Well, yeah, that's the list I'm talking about. Hard to get it to add up.

Not my city - but I do kinda dig the Public Art program endeavor.

I guess this is the deal with the 17.5 M for the MLK Natatorium:

Safety concerns prompt Atlanta to close MLK Natatorium

Everybody loves a swiming pool but this is not your daddy's Old Fourth Ward. It is now an extremely affluent neighborhood with houses that can easily set you back half a million dollars. It is loaded with upscale restaurants and has had zillions in public money poured into it via the Beltline and similar mega projects.

It's time for the O4W to step up and create a conservancy like other well-heeled neighborhoods around the city have done.

Let the millennials roar!

So....so what are you saying? Let the neighborhood pay for it?

Exactly. That's what we do in other affluent neighborhoods.

I wouldn't call O4W "affluent" yet, but $17 million is steep for even the richest neighborhoods, isn't it?
