I'm 25 years old and am transfering with AT&T to their Buckhead location in Atlanta this summer.

I don't need to be surrounded by nightlife/bars/restaurants.

I work from home 3 days a week, so commuting is a non issue for me.

Looking for somewhere relatively safe, dont really need top notch amenities.

My budget is 700-750 for rent. Where would you recommend I look? Any specific apartment complexes you think would fit my needs?

Thanks!

Check out Dunwoody Sandy Springs area.

This area gives you easy access to marta heavy rail. You can actually commute to Buckhead via marta, and not have to worry about traffic. Just park your vehicle at North Springs station and be in Buckhead in less than 20 minutes.

Check out Azalea Park Apartments.

Why not right around Buckhead? Or Lindbergh Station? Although 700-750 maybe a stretch unless it's a studio.

Or with a roommate, and that could be a nice place.

AT&T has two centers in Buckhead - Lindbergh & Lenox Park. If you know your location, that could help some abney_mi.

Yeah.. 750 is not going to get you very far in Buckhead... check out some of the other places people mentioned like Dunwoody etc. Maybe Lindbergh.. South Buckhead is a little more affordable. However, the apartment stock there is not as high quality. It will get the job done though.

Lindbergh has very good stock of apartments and without a roommate, the OP can not afford any apartments in Perimeter center, Buckhead, or Lindbergh.

I'm not opposed to a roommate, I just dont know anyone in Atlanta. The building I will be working in is the Lenox one. I also don't mind living OTP, since I only have to go into the office 2 days a week, and sometimes less than that. What are some of the better OTP areas to live in within my budget? Thanks for the replies thus far everyone!

Hands down, I'd get a roommate and live in one of the Lenox Park complexes. It's one of the best places to live in Atlanta and you'd be able to walk to and from work.

I lived there for 7 years and it was the best place I have ever lived. It's much more expensive than it used to be, but I'd still look at the apartments there. The money you save in gas traveling to and from work may very well make it worth the extra couple hundred bucks a month in rent.

I agree, those are great apartments and the pool scene will be great.
