Hello all,

I recently moved to the East Cobb area from Douglas County, and I am having a difficult time finding a church home. In Douglas County, I absolutely loved my church, Church at Chapel Hill. I'm looking for something similar. Some place that has a diverse population, modern services and an amazing children's ministry. I have been looking in Marietta, Kennesaw, Roswell and Woodstock. I would greatly appreciate some suggestions.

I am uncertain as to how "contemporary" it is, but First Baptist of Woodstock is large and has many different ministry opportunities. They probably also have multiple worship services, too. Perhaps one of them is a contemporary service.

Isn't Buckhead Church up 400 a little bit now? As contemporary as it gets.

Yes, North Point church (Buckhead Church) is up 400. I have visited several times and absolutely love their children's ministry, but they rarely have the pastor there live. Every service that I have attended has been a pre-recorded message.

OP, how far is the drive to Chapel Hill? It is challenging to find a church that fits. Please post back when you find something. Church at Chapel Hill will be hard to beat!!!

I have been gone for three years now, but wouldn't the drive to chapel hill be about the same as these other places?

Have you checked out Passion City? The Marietta vineyard is pretty sweet. As is the Cobb vineyard.

Liberty Church is on Cobb Parkway in north Marietta near Kennestone Hospital. Multiple services, intentionally multi-racial.

We attend Fellowship Bible in Roswell and can't say enough great things about it. One of the things we love most about it is the diversity, all races and classes, plus some of the best Bible teaching you will ever hear.

Chapel Hill is a little farther in Douglasville and several miles off the highway, so it ends up being about a 50 minute ride. I love participating in mid week small groups with my church and that drive would be impossible during the week.

Thank you for the other suggestions. I will look into those as well.

If anyone has additional suggestions, I am open and grateful.
