As far as I'm concerned, the senate's version of this bill is pointless. The house bill is much broader and actually helps people....

The Georgia Senate overwhelmingly approved a narrowly drawn medical marijuana bill Friday after the head of the chamber's health committee promised to combine it with a broader bill already passed by the state House of Representatives.
The Senate bill, which passed 54-1, would exempt from prosecution parents who bring cannabidiol, a non-psychoactive marijuana derivative, into Georgia to treat their children with epilepsy.
The bill would not allow medical marijuana in any other form and would not allow children or adults to use the drug to treat a wide range of other diseases covered by the House bill, including cancer, multiple sclerosis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), Parkinson's disease and sickle cell anemia.

Good news!

I hope Curt Thompson's bills, SB 7 (full medical marijuana) and SR 6 (full recreational marijuana) are considered next year; they got held up in committee this year. I want to see legalization on the 2016 ballot.
