Drunken loud and profane people are not family friendly regardless of you religious affiliation or lack there of. I am unable to even safely take my young children to a professional sports game without having to subject them to the negative effects of drinking alcohol; that I have given up upon years ago. For the past few years even normal restaurants like Red Lobster have become nothing but obnoxious bar rooms. Oh, well, at least it is cheaper to eat at home. ;0)

Sports have always been like that. People were getting tanked watching gladiators. I have never been attracted to team sports for similar reasons. I don't know that you're necessarily for prohibiting sales at certain times, but there seems to be an implication here.

I am not a fan of obnoxious people either but I don't think we should legislate manners or drinking habits.

Nor do I. If there's anything that annoys me, it's one group of individuals trying to legislate the behavior of another. Violation of civil rights is another category. This does not fall within it.

So you don't like when one group tries to legislate the behavior of another, but this doesn't count because....why? Because you say so?

Your choice not to exercise a right does not make it not a right. Your admission that you don't think it's a right shows that you think it's okay to legislate the behavior of others.

Like I said, because I don't consider this particular case to be the violation of anyone's civil rights. Comprende?
You know I was agreeing with you, right?

Yo no comprende. Sólo piensa usted está de acuerdo conmigo porque piensa que puede decidir qué derechos tiene una persona.

You only think this is not an infringement upon someone's rights because you think you can decide someone else's rights.

I miss the days of quiet family time on Sundays
Perhaps you should change the things in your life that are impacting your quiet time on Sunday.

By the way, what does that have to do with this thread?

It's only a justification, JoeP. You're right. If someone misses quiet time on Sundays, whose problem is that? Not the people in the bar they are having breakfast in or the crowd at a sports game.
