Mary Tudor was not Scottish. She was half English and half Spanish. Mary, Queen of Scots, was a different Mary altogether. Sorry, history buff here.

Parentage-wise, you are correct, but she was Queen of Scotland for a while, while married to James I's father prior to his death and she was rejected due to her Catholicism. So being Queen of Scotland, even for a short time, does make you a former Scottish monarch regardless of where your parents are from.

Totally confused now. Mary Tudor was married to Phillip II of Spain. They had no children. James I (and VI)'s parents were Lord Darnley and Mary, Queen of Scots. Please cite your source regarding her having the title of Queen of Scotland.

What i like about the article is the statement of $100M of additional revenue...

So somewhere there are 76,000 People (Each Sunday) who are not going to go to a Brunch cause they can't get a drink, till 12:30, so they don't go to Brunch..

LOL my mother used to say let's get there before the do-gooders!"

They were all related. It was like one big European trailer park.

Or, they are still going to brunch, but not spending money on drinks that they would otherwise have. Even given that, $100,000,000 does seem high. But I guarantee you this is a HUGE boost in revenue and profit for restaurants.

Well, I could easily argue that a few days' waiting period to obtain a firearm isn't going to hurt anyone (unless they are being stalked by an ex or something), but let's see how far I get with that argument and a Georgia crowd.

It's happened multiple times that we've been invited over to someone's house for something on a Sunday and had to go empty-handed, or wait until after 12:30 once the law changed. Doesn't "hurt", but it's certainly not enjoyable.

That gate is opened up now, forever; I do have nostalgia for the "good old days" when Sundays were more set apart from the rest of the hectic week.
I'm all about Sundays being set apart from other days, even though I'm not religious. That being said, some people having drinks with brunch or a few beers while watching football isn't what's changing that. Capitalism and the pursuit of every dollar, and relentless employers are to blame there. Give us your opinion that one, too.

That was me and my wife yesterday. I wouldn't be surprised at all if there were 75,998 others who did the same thing.

I guess my confusion here is that I have never known anyone, including my Catholic, non-religious, and beer-nerd (relentlessly obsessed with different kinds of beer) friends, that were unable to enjoy a meal without an alcoholic beverage. What is wrong with water, lemonade, or sweet iced tea (the "table wine" of the south) with your Brunch. Why is it that important, that early in the day? Please enlighten me.
