This is an article circa 2013. I'm sure it has been posted here before, but I figured it would be a good refresher. The thing that surprised me, (especially in context of another thread) is the antagonism that seems to have existed even back then, for Atlanta, from lawmakers from the rest of the state.

The other "mistakes" towards the bottom, seem topical as well, as there is some discussion of Fulton County annexation plans in 71 as well.

It's been posted here on Atlanta C-D before (along with oodles of other MARTA stuff).

Now find the other thread, repost there, and then tell the mods to erase this thread.

1. The original link is dead. ( why I made the fresh post in the first place)

2. the conversation is from 2012 and somewhat stale. Lets just retire the old one.

It's the exact same topic based on the same article; I don't see why a new thread is necessary and you should already know this duplicate thread will get locked.
