I would have respected Cobb County more if they would have got a rapid skateboard system instead of a freaking rapid bus system

Well, since you're the one who brags about driving in the diamond lane when you're alone, I guess you wouldn't see the need...

Cobb County traffic isn't bad outside of 75 , 575 and 285. All I'm saying is if they really want to help residents have more options bring in rail because those rapid bases will still sit it the same traffic that everyone else is in. It's not like the buses can fly over the traffic on the interstates lol

Oh, I agree, I would rather have rail! But at least it is a step in the right direction...

I think the idea was for them to use the new HOT lanes, then thru would fly over traffic. If it was built like LA's silver line, there could be stations off the lanes.

No, please not LRT. It's a vastly inferior system for commuter routes.

Uh. Cobb Parkway. Barrett Parkway. Powers Ferry. Parts of Chastain Road. Parts of Atlanta Road.

Those are just off the top of my head. Around metro Atlanta, traffic tends to get worse, not better, once you're off the freeway system.

Agreed. I cringe every time someone states that LRT/BRT is feasible for extending existing MARTA rail lines.

BRT is okay for something like Candler Road in south DeKalb, where there aren't any rail corridors anywhere nearby, or as a temporary measure until HRT comes in. Of course, temporary measures tend to become permanent, so...

I could see how something like could work for Cobb or elsewhere in the metro area.
