Zagat generally does a good job on reviews like this.

Nice to see some of our suburban neighborhoods getting recognition for first rate cuisine.

Which ones are the chains?

We have been to most of these, some of them many times, and they are very good.

Are they rated based on diners' reviews?

Fogo is a chain.

I liked that there was an assortment of restaurants. Not everything has to be expensive and formal to be good.

Fogo de Chao
Capital Grille
NY Prime
Ray's is basically a local chain...

Just realized how seldom I eat out; I have only been to two of these restaurants, Fox Brothers and Bone's, and neither in years! I am glad that these are doing so well. Restaurants help the local economy. Bon Appetite! ;0)

Nothing wrong with a good chain restaurant. To have so many locations, they must be doing something right. Most of the chains present here seem like smaller chains, or "specialty chains", like my above mentioned Bone's.
