You've kept bringing up the fact that the Braves aren't replicating the Ted's 50K capacity at Suntrust as if it's a bad thing. Considering the Braves haven't approached 40K in average attendance since 2000, it would make sense to downscale the new place's capacity (which has become standard in most ballparks built in the past 15 years).

But you don't need 83% white. It's not a tipping point. That's just the share of MLB fans that's white. And Cobb is still 60% white which is a little over 425K whites in Cobb County alone. That's about the entire population of Atlanta in 2010. However, the % of whites in Atlanta was about 37% or just over 155,000 people, most of which are north and east of the city.

It is bad if you are a fan that likes cheaper ticket prices or attendance levels they had in 90s when they were a real team. Great for Liberty Media's bottom line. But sure, the Braves are just accepting the reality that they will not get the attendance of their prime years while at Cobb. Probably a wise move.

Greart game and great atmosphere! It just makes me sad knowing the end is near for that beautiful stadium.

What? Yeah, but just think of the development that will be more appropriate for the community after it's gone.

Great start to the season for sure.

It is sad, but someone really dropped the ball by not making the area around Turner Field more pleasant and inviting. I like having the Braves downtown, but I understand why they made the decision to move.

For those of you "giving up" on the Braves this year, note the 4-0 early record. Giving up is so lame.

5-0 now. I guess I'll step back from the "on to 2016" ledge and keep an eye on them.
