Well, we're still ahead of the Philles amazingly.

Still, a few years ago the Astros were atrocious. Now they're leading the AL West. Anything can happen.

Ehh. Not so much anymore. Well, I don't actually know for sure. I'm up in PA right now and haven't seen a game in about a month.

Just before the trade deadline, the Mets and the Braves were within spitting distance of the Division leading Nats. The Mets spent a little money (and picked up a couple of our players in the process), and now lead division by 6 games. And, the Braves...

I think they feel like the want a championship team by time the new stadium open. The years before they were just a playoff team that was always losing in the wildcard round

You're exactly right. Unfortunately a lot of people don't really understand baseball or follow it. All they see is the Braves are losing, that's what they get for moving to Cobb, they didn't spend money on players this year, etc, etc. When in reality they have been restocking their farm system via trades in anticipation of these players being ready when the new stadium opens. They will probably open the pocket book up a little more then too. If you have a bunch of young good prospects coming up around the same time, well, that's kind of similar to what happened in the 90s.
