The fact that most people don't know about it, I think means that they are going to get rid of it and probably nobody will complain. But I will miss it tremendously, I really hope it's not on the chopping block.
I love that stream!

I'm talking about the meandering creek that flows on the side of the park (I think northeast side). It seems like whenever renovations happen to malls and parks, water features fall victim.

This is the quietest, most peaceful, and best aspect of the park. I don't see it in the renderings of what they want to do to the park. Am I missing it?
It's still there in the rendering, it's just poorly drawn. In the rendering they look like 2 pools of water, without the rocks lol

I can see that the park could use some updates but if they are spending $46M, it makes me think they might gut the wonderfulness out of it. Why not just a facelift? What's so wrong that it needs $46M spent on it? My kids love the open spaces, playgrounds and the fountains. Seems like generations of kids will value those things as well. Seems like about 4x too much money is being spent. I hope they leave open grassy spaces to run and play.

It also includes reconfiguration of the roads, in particular adding a dedicated cycle track to the roads around the park.

Man, am I tired of grown adults talking like 11 year old boys about the Falcons stadium.

Anyway, not sure if your reading comprehension is low or you didn't even bother to read the the excerpt they want to do it with private donations, not state money.

Right, this new stadium will attract more events and money to our city. This might be one of the developments that will really kick off development for downtown.
