You could say the same about painkillers or antidepressants not that they are ever misused.

I agree with this. I have never been drug tested in my life, and I have had some pretty decent positions.

RE: drug testing in Ga. Well in my experience it has been pretty hit or miss for me. I was drug tested in college for my first minimum wage part time job before they even hired me. This job was selling clothes at the mall. My first real job after college where I was working in HR for a pharm co. Yes really. They did not test me. Really it is all over the place, some jobs I can see the reasoning others I see it as a waste or their Co. money.

OH and I really doubt Ga will legalize pot anytime soon. maybe in 15 to 20 years

Profit from incarcerating a disproportionate number of black men.

Maybe a disproportionate number of black men are incarcerated because they commit a disproportionate number of crimes? Not in every case, but in a large number of them. It's very similar to the fact that a disproportionate number of black man resist arrest and end up hurt or dead. I would expect a beating or worse if I were fighting with police who were trying to arrest me. I've been taught to do exactly what they say and that's what I have done when I've had an encounter with the police.

You say this like it will have some relevance on who uses it recreationally. That ship has sailed. Millions of people use it recreationally regardless of its legal status and will continue to do so. It is already de facto legal in many places where the police have either given up enforcing the laws against it or there are so many users that they know it would be pointless to waste their time on it. The only choice we have is whether we are going to stop pretending it is worse than alcohol or nicotine or opiates or any number of other legal drugs and fix the absurdity of our laws.
