Just wonder when it's our turn. Our neighbors to the west are kicking and screaming to not follow a federal ruling.

This year when the Supreme Court takes it up is what I'm thinking. The court is hearing cases around May or June I think.

As far as I know our cases are on hold pending the Supreme Court ruling. We should have results in June and I assume they will be favorable. Not much longer!

Kennedy and the 4 liberal justices will rule it unconstitutional to deny gay marriage and the national debate will be over. It will be allowed everywhere.

That won't ever get reversed even if the composition of the court changes because only a couple of the justices would overturn a precedent like that that would be so disruptive to change back, even though they might disagree with it.

So Georgia will probably have gay marriage sometime this year.

I hope it happens soon so women will have to deal with getting taken to cleaners like men have been for decades in divorce court. It's gonna be fun seeing women fighting each other over alimony/etc.

So many pressing issues today, but this just isn't one of them IMO. I don't understand why we dwell on this topic so much.

I think people need to realize that while gay marriage is very important, there's still a lot to be done. For example, it's still very legal to be fired from a job for being gay.

I feel that there are numerous other issues involving LGBTQs that need to be resolved first. Employment Non-Discrimination Act is first and foremost. There are numerous LGBTQ individuals like myself that facts double or triple discrimination in our society in the yet United States.

I think this and pot legalization are worth our time.
