Has anyone heard anything about movement on the private school wait lists for 6th grade (Westminster and Pace, specifically)?

I know someone who got off the Pace list for 9th grade and know someone who declined Westminster on Thursday for 6th grade. But I have never been clear if schools accept just the number they have room for or if they take extra to account for yield.

I heard a story at dinner tonight where one mom called to decline a Buckhead private school and her friend got a call an hour or so later for a spot in that grade.

They definitely send offers for more spots than they have based on predicted yield (from past years). We were told this by the admissions offices.

I would think most of the wait pool movement has already happened as the deadline for deposits has already passed. But, having said that, people could always have a last minute move or change of heart over the summer.

Thought Westminister will re-evaluate their wait list sometime in May? Have any of you heard from Westminsiter already? (Wait list families)

Default Westminster Wait list for 2015 6th grade

Have you heard from anyone who got a chance or heard from Westminster admissions around 6th grade wait list. Checking whether any open slots surfaced in April-May timeframe.

Came to know May 22nd is when Parents have time to pay school fees or inform that they are giving up their slot without incurring any penalties.

Of course most of the Westminster parents have none or little impact on these penalties with the mere fact they can afford
