Actually, OP asked about Atlanta and "OTP", which includes many other cities. However, it wouldn't matter if the city of Atlanta voted 100% Democrat. The state of Georgia as a whole has voted Republican in every election I can remember and it's the statewide electoral vote that counts.

It would be nice if the Presidential candidates did some serious campaigning here for a change.

In years past it has been assumed that Georgia was part of the "Solid South" and would automatically go with the conservative candidate. Whether that will or won't hold true in the future is up to the voters but it would be nice to at least be on the national map.
