Hi folks,
I'd like to take my 2 year old to the beach this Monday, April 27. I was hoping to go to Lanier World, but that won't be open till May
I know there are dozens of beaches on Lanier. Does anyone know of a beach that will be open this Monday? Preferably sandy, not rocky. Picnic area & grills are a plus!
To cover my bases:
1) Asking in Atlanta forum because Lanier is a popular destination for metro ATLiens.
2) Please don't suggest Allatoona. That is an absolute last resort as I really dislike that beach. I live less than 15min from Allatoona but would gladly drive an hour or more for a different beach.
3) Are there any other beaches within a 3hr drive from Atlanta? I've heard of Callaway. Is that open?
I appreciate any help. We should have good weather on Monday, & it is my son's birthday, so we'd really like a lazy day at the beach.
